Ethics Statement

As members of the Kula Community Association Board of Directors our guiding principle is full disclosure so that discussions and voting are held without hidden or private agenda but for the benefit of the community.  Members of the Board shall recuse themselves from voting on issues in which they have a potential conflict of interest.  Board members shall not use their relationship with the Kula Community Association Board of Directors for personal, business, professional or family gain.

Specifically, no KCA Officer or Director shall

A. Fail to disclose a financial interest in any matter which may be affected by an action of the Kula Community Association or vote on any matter affected by such interest.

B. Solicit, accept or receive any gift; directly or indirectly, whether in the form of money, service, loan, travel, entertainment, hospitality, thing or promise, or in any other form, under circumstances in which it can reasonably be inferred that the gift is intended to influence the officer or director in the performance of their duties or is intended as a reward for any action on their part.
